Meta: Content creation and activations

Over the years at Meta I developed and delivered countless pieces of content and activations, ranging from blog posts and articles to a live interview series and a student creative portfolio award show. Here are a few examples.

Facebook: Insight playing cards

To showcase Facebook's seasonal consumer insights, I conceived and produced a pack of 52 playing cards, each featuring a different insight and bespoke illustration.

Impact:

  • 1,200 packs shipped to agencies and key client contacts

  • 3,000 microsite page views; average session duration of 80 seconds

  • Global media coverage, including an article in Ad Week, which was shared nearly 6,000 times

Facebook: Canvas Folio

With Canvas Folio I took one of our ad formats – one that our clients use to sell their products – and hacked it so creatives could use it to sell themselves.

As well as helping creatives to stand out, the idea was to get our Canvas ad product in front of Creative Directors, to show them that Facebook is a great platform for creativity.

We launched Canvas Folio with a group of ad students as part of the Loeries Festival of Creativity in Durban, and the Canvas Folios they created were seen over 2 million times, generating 36,000 link clicks.

Facebook: On Mobile

I conceived, produced and presented this Facebook for Business content series, in which I talked to respected industry figures about mobile marketing and mobile content, all streamed live from a mobile phone.

The interviews have received nearly 450k views on average, with interviewees to date including the founders of Unilad, the CEO of Just Eat and the Chairman of Cannes Lions.

Meta: Long copy

I wrote many thousands of words of long copy in my time at Meta, ranging from case studies and sales team narratives to blog posts, op-eds and intros to the various pieces of video content I produced. Here are a few (and I can provide links if required).
